Actually, back in 2013 I had one of those G Flexes. The screen broke because of the curvature of it while I was sitting down, but scratches to the back did become less visible in time (not immediately mind you, it took a couple of days).

Back glass is the worst thing for me....

dream materials for backing of phone is anodized aluminum with sound waves etched into it for grip. but the best one ive had was a fake leather looking back that was made of plastic.

This brings back memories. I used to have the LG G Flex. It was a cool looking phone but the screen qualify was dreadful. You would get ghosting on the home screen when you switched page to page.

I actually had the gflex 2 because of the curve. fantastic phone! FYI: the curve on the gen 2 was subtler than the one in the first. miss that kind of phone.

Couldn't be more wrong about the Axon M many functions... I've been using it for 3 years, and the tent mode (same image on both screen) is very good in social situation. The 2 app on two screens, very useful. And polytopia on one big screen, nothing better ;)

thin is uncomfortable, because it gives to much gaps... the same issue with computer mice, controllers, etc... the ergonomics suck on them (the thin sony phones are nice though in the hands)

We can use the fifth one to do something like play game here and have a tutorial on other and it can also be useful for twins!

Hearing about the yota 3+ and eink makes me wanna to make something similar but using a lower power os to fix those problems. Being able to put a pattern on it then leave it with little to no power usage would be great for esthetics

one thing i can think of for foldable phones is using it for my online classes. i can watch the online lecture on one screen and have a document opened on another. like having two tabs opened

I loved my LG G Flex 2 and I am deeply sad they abandoned it. Once you used the curved screen, you can never settle for something inferior. So anyway, from what I have learned, the reason for the curvature was not that your hands or face are curved, although it did indeed fit in your pocket better than anything else, the main reason was that at the distance where you hold your phone, the eye focuses in a sphere that roughly matches the curvature of the screen and this was just awesome, especially for movies. I miss the curved screen ever since. You could also flatten the phone (push on the back, sit on it) and it would return back. This flexibility also allowed it to dissipate virtually any fall. It would just not break or even scratch that much. I would return to my plastic flexible curved phone 100% of the time over the current meta of brittle glass phones. Moving to glass was a nobrainer for me.

Glass on both sides is the dumbest decision ever made. A metal finish would be great, but, as happened with my HTC M10, they can get really hot.

Super thin phones now mean overheating weak stuff with trash batteries... Maybe in the future, who knows.

I actually really hope that foldables come back, I always loved taking out my phone and flipping it open.
